Research & Development Center: Development of
Competitiveness

For the purposes of continued strengthening of our competitiveness, GoldSun's R&D Center exists. Our leading R&D Center has invented and improved ready-mixed concrete products, improved our quality control techniques, upgraded our integrated consulting services, and challenged our ability to innovate.

Continuously,
improved our quality

Our innovations allow us to perform beyond traditional frameworks and meet the diverse needs of our customers. GoldSun, through extensive research and development, has transformed concrete's strength and power into an art form that we use in our daily lives.

Research & Development Center Activities

Various types of industrial-academia cooperation
and technology transfers

CRDC cooperated with Taiwan Industrial Technology Research and Development Foundation to carry out the "High Performance Concrete Manufacturing Plant Certification and Accreditation Program". The purpose of the project is to evaluate the production process of high performance concrete plants and to review the proportional technology involved, and to certify the qualifications of the plants to ensure the quality of high-performance concrete.

[Study on High Performance Concrete with Silica Fume and Kaolinite]: CRDC conducted joint research with National Taiwan University and National Yunlin University of Science and Technology. The purpose of the project is to investigate the proportioning and engineering properties of silica fume and Kaolinite in high performance concrete, and to compare the economic efficiency of Kaolinite and silica fume as mineral admixtures for high performance concrete.

[Study on The Interaction Between the Strong Plasticizer, Flowability (Slump Loss) of TAICON and Magnetized Water]: Commissioned with the Chinese Society of Structural Engineering. This research project uses magnetized water to mix TAICON(HPC) and study its slumping properties to understand the slumping mechanism between magnetized water and TAICON(HPC), and also makes reference to the slumping study of TAICON(HPC) conducted by National Taiwan University to investigate the mechanism of magnetized water with concrete. We hope that by understanding and mastering the qualities of magnetized water, we can obtain stable quality TAICON(HPC) for engineering needs and study the feasibility of mass production of TAICON(HPC) with magnetized water.

Collaboration with National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUT) to conduct the "Ready-Mixed Concrete Material Quality Control Project": The purpose of the project is to conduct a study on material quality control for the ready-mixed concrete plant belonging to Goldsun Group. The project investigated and analyzed the quality of cement materials used in ready-mixed concrete plants, and from the results of the investigation and analysis, help establish a concrete material quality analysis system and production variation analysis capability for ready-mixed plants, so that the plants can more accurately grasp their quality, ensure consistency and production efficiency, etc.

[Physical and Chemical Property Testing of Chemical Admixtures]: CRDC cooperated with the Department of Chemistry, National Taiwan Normal University to conduct research on the basic property differences of various chemical admixtures and their compatibility with cement or mineral admixtures by using IR, UV, and rheological properties to identify the chemical composition of chemical admixtures. The working properties of concrete and the stability of compressive strength is then further explored.

[Production of Lightweight Aggregate from Reservoir Silt and Industrialization of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete - Production of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete from Reservoir Silt]: This is a research topic executed in collaboration with National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, National Chung Hsing University and National Science Council. The purpose of the research is to reduce the cost of light-weight aggregate by burning the reservoir sludge to a competitive price, so that lightweight aggregate concrete products can be developed rapidly in Taiwan, and to establish a database of local lightweight aggregate concrete proportions, engineering properties and production technology.
